Color Sudoku, Free to Play Online

A full 9×9 sudoku with nine colors in place of the numbers one to nine. There is no account and nothing to download. It plays in your browser on a phone, a tablet, or a computer.

How to play

The rules are the same as classic sudoku. Every row, column, and block must contain all nine bubble colors. Each color appears exactly once, with no repeats. Some bubbles are already placed as clues, and you fill every empty cell to finish the puzzle.

Tap an empty cell, then tap a color to place it. Notes let you mark the colors a cell could still hold. The interactive tutorial shows it all on a real board in about two minutes, and the rules page has every rule on one page.

The nine colors

The colors do the job the numbers one to nine do in a classic sudoku. They have no order and no value. All that matters is whether two bubbles match.

What’s in the game

A full-size board

Bubble Sudoku uses the full 9×9 board, the same size as a classic sudoku. So every classic technique works here, from Full House to X-Wing and Swordfish. The Techniques pages show all fifteen, animated step by step on real boards, and this guide lists what to try, in order, when you get stuck.

Coming soon as an app

Bubble Sudoku is coming soon to iOS and Android. Until then, every level and the daily puzzle are free to play right here in the browser.
