Bubble Sudoku is sudoku played with nine colors instead of nine numbers. The rules are the same. It’s made by Pop Logic Studios, a one-person studio in Los Angeles, and it plays on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web.

What makes it different
- Nine colors. Each number from one to nine becomes a color. Patterns stand out on the board in a way they don’t in digits.
- Spot It. Five short daily boards that teach players to see the next move in three steps.
- Technique lessons. Fifteen of them and growing, each animated step by step on a real board.
- Hints that teach. A hint walks through each step on the board, so players learn the move instead of being handed the answer.
- Colorblind Symbols. Each color also gets its own shape, one tap from the game screen.
- One daily puzzle. The same board every day in the app and on the website.
- Drawn by hand. The art, including a new trophy every month, is drawn by hand.
